Troubleshooting

Most issues have a quick fix. Work through the relevant section below, and if you are still stuck, contact support and we will help.

I cannot connect to my server

1. Check it is online. Open the Overview panel. If it says stopped or starting, start it and wait for it to come online.
2. Check the address. Use the exact connect address shown on the Overview panel. See Connecting to your server for the right format per game.
3. Check the password. If you set a join password, make sure everyone is using it, spelled exactly.
4. Right edition (Minecraft). Bedrock players can only join a Crossplay server, not a Java-only one. See the Minecraft guide.
5. Give it a moment after a restart. Just after a restart or an update, the server needs a short while before it accepts players.

My server will not start or keeps restarting

1. Try a restart from the Overview panel.
2. If it started misbehaving after a world change, restore a recent backup from before the change. See Backups and restore.
3. If it still will not stay up, contact support with the server name and roughly when it started.

Performance feels laggy

• Open the Overview and check the live performance snapshot. If it is regularly maxed out, the world may be heavier than the plan comfortably handles.
• Very large bases, lots of players, or big modpacks all add load. A larger plan gives more headroom.
• A restart can clear a temporary slowdown; a daily restart already runs automatically.

How do updates work

Your server updates itself automatically, including a weekly maintenance window. You do not need to do anything. If an update ever causes trouble, restore a backup from before it and let us know.

Can I add mods or plugins

Mod and plugin support depends on the game and edition. Minecraft Java supports plugins and mods. For what is possible on your setup, check the Minecraft and Palworld guides, or ask Support.

I lost my world or my base

Restore it. Open Backups and restore, pick the most recent restore point from before the problem, and restore. Backups are kept for 7 days.
