Glossary
Short definitions of the words you will see around Wumpo.
Always-on. A server that stays running 24/7 so anyone can jump in at any time. The opposite of hibernation. See Always-on and hibernation.
Backup. An automatic saved copy of your world, taken hourly, that you can restore later. See Backups and restore.
Connect address. The address you give your friends so they can join your server. Shown on the Overview panel.
Console. A live view of your server's log, with a box for supported commands. See Console and commands.
Crossplay. A Minecraft edition set up so PC, mobile and console players can all play together in one world. See Minecraft.
Dedicated server. Your own machine running your world, with its own resources, rather than a slot shared with other people.
Edition. For Minecraft, the version you deploy: Java or Crossplay. Other games have a single version.
Hibernation. When an idle server rests instead of running. It uses no resources while off and earns Wumpo Points.
Join password. An optional password that keeps your server to just the people you share it with.
Plan. The size of your server: Outpost, Squad or Colony. Bigger plans handle more players and larger worlds. See Plans and pricing.
Preset. A quick starting point for your world's rules when you deploy: Chill, Normal or Hardcore. You can change everything afterwards in World settings.
Region. Where your server is located. Pick the one closest to most of your players. See Regions.
Restore. Rolling your world back to an earlier backup. See Backups and restore.
Webhook. A private address from Discord that lets Wumpo post updates into one of your channels. See Discord integration.
Wumpo Points. Points you earn for every whole hour a server hibernates. See How points work.
